celebraciones anuales
thanksgiving
Por: Mrs. Yolanda Tapias
Last November 24th, our students
celebrated Thanksgiving, an important
day in American culture, a day to share,
to give thanks for what we have every
day, to give thanks for our families,
friends and teachers, who make our
lives a great adventure. It was a day full
of yellow, brown and red colors, where
the students were able to have a dinner
in gratitude to God for everything he
has given them, likewise, they had
games, word searches and crafts that
expressed hearts full of joy for feeling halloween
very lucky ones.

During Halloween Celebration, different
activities were developed not only throughout
the day, but also in the previous week. The
students participated in the Spirit Week, where
on each day they had to bring a costume and
explain it. This activity was assessed based on
rubrics that were put together by the
Language Arts Department, and used by the
Seniors to evaluate the participants. Likewise,
during the celebration, different rooms were
set so that students were rotating to visit each
of them in order to enjoy and participate in the
various activities (Karaoke, charades, role
plays, and movies).
To conclude, the purpose of this event was to
promote internationalization as part of the IB
student profile construction, as well as
strengthening speaking skills in the target
language.
